Segmented Walnut, Cherry & Maple Bowl – Handcrafted Decorative Catch-All

This segmented bowl is one of those pieces that really comes together in a special way. The top and bottom are turned from solid walnut, giving the piece a deep, warm foundation with natural grain that feels both classic and bold.

The center section features a clean cherry band wrapped around a segmented ring of maple. Each maple segment is individually cut, aligned, and shaped before being bonded into a full ring—creating that tight, crisp pattern that flows all the way around the bowl. Once assembled, the entire piece is turned on the lathe to bring everything into one smooth, seamless form.

The bowl has a soft rounded profile with a gentle opening and a clean interior, making it a beautiful piece for holding keys, jewelry, wrapped candy, or simply displaying on a shelf or desk. The finish is silky-smooth to the touch, highlighting the contrast between the walnut, cherry, and maple.
